Do you send thank you letters after interviews with grocery stores?

I have an interview coming up at a local grocery store chain (rather not name names) and I was wondering do you still send a thank you letter to them after the interview to improve your chances? Also does it improve my chances if I go to the interview dressed in their dress code (Its blue dress shirt, black pants and a single colored shoe)?
