I am scard to use a tampon help asap ?

I got my peiod for about 7 months now and i always have used a pad but at school you can see blood thru my pants and i wana use tampons but i am scard they will hurt alot abd non of my friends had theres yet so they domt no anything and i am only 11 so i really wana use tampons but i am such a scardy cat cuz i dont wana mess anything up down there and my doctors dont no i jave my period yet...... So any advice or recmondations any thing will help
