Relocating to the UK, need to find a nice, dignified, stately, affluent area with easy rail links to London?

I think Bob you have been watching too many English TV programes which are not real. England has moved on now, and each town and city has to cater for all types of people and houses. There is nowhere exclusive left, certainly not within an hour to London.
